[PWP: Female Rebels & Chemists]
This privacy lock might seem incredibly strange to a lot of you, especially coming from someone you most likely don't know yet! So let me introduce myself: I'm Two-step, and I just joined the Rhythm Revolution this week. I'm a chemist, with a fairly solid background in pharmacy - that is, designing and synthesizing drugs. Some people will try to tell you it's a dying science, but don't let them! It's still relevant stuff.
So I was talking to Sonata this evening about what kinds of drugs the RR provides, or is planning to provide, to its members. Now, it's hard to prioritize whose needs are more important than others', but one issue jumped out at me in particular, which is how hard it is for women to get their hands on any kind of reliable birth control. Being a college student, I already knew it was an issue, and I've done a small amount of experimenting in the Institute's labs (covertly, of course, and it scared the heck out of me to be doing it there!) and I'm pretty sure that, given a sample of a high-quality version of the combined oral contraceptive pill (aka the 4-period-a-year pill), and some funding (I don't know how much yet - that would depend on how many people express interest, how efficient the process ends up being, etc.) we can augment the supply to distribute it to those who need it. I need a little help, though, in getting my bearings! If you could please fill out the poll beneath, regardless of whether or not you are hoping to receive the pill from Revo suppliers, it would really give me a better picture of what this project will look like (or if it's even necessary in the first place). Needless to say, I am not looking to gather any personal information about any of you, and absolutely will not share this information without express permission.

If you think I've left off any questions (gathering data of this nature isn't exactly my expertise, and I apologize!) please feel free to make suggestions. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about the project as a whole, or about any of the terminology I am using, don't hesitate to ask. I could also use some opinions regarding where the RR's money is best spent in regards to the chemist division, like if you think we ought to be focusing on different projects. My area of expertise, however, only extends so far, so please keep that in mind.
